CALL FOR PERFORMERS
We’re planning on having an end-of-year holiday party and we’re looking for performers to provide some background entertainment. The party is most likely going to be at Rex’s Den on Friday, December 6th in the evening sometime. Details are still being worked out, but I will post again when they are fully confirmed.
If you’re interested in performing, please fill out the following form for an audition time:
Looking for a festive, musical way to kick off the winter break? Then come check out this concert, featuring the UTSC Alumni and Community Concert Band. They will be performing a number of highly entertaining pieces, as well as some of your favourite holiday classics.
The concert will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 7pm in the ARC. (That’s the big lecture hall directly in front of you when you enter the AC building.)
Tickets are pay-what-you-can!
We’re going to be selling tickets for the Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra (TYWO) these next two weeks. If you haven’t ever been to an orchestra, this would be a great place to start. I have had the pleasure to see them perform before, and it is always a treat!
Tickets will be sold during UMS office hours (come check the student centre or the 3rd floor of the AA building) and during band/choir rehearsals. They are $15 each for students, and $25 each for adults and the performance will be on Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00pm at St. Michaels College for the Arts.
Plus, another bonus incentive – but don’t quote me on this – this trip might count towards a mandatory performance required in certain music courses. I will update this once I find out, but you can ask your Professor in the meantime.
Hope to see you all there!
UTSC Music Society is looking for performers for our Lounge Night event on Wednesday, October 2 from 5:30-7:30PM at La Prep!
Auditions will run from September 23-25 from 11-2PM in the music rooms on the 3rd floor of the AA building, and all genres of music are welcome. Feel free to perform as an soloist, duet, or group. We recommend that all musicians prepare a piece(s) of music 3-5 minutes in length, and let us know if you require a piano.
We look forward to hearing your perform, and please forward this email onto any fellow musician friends you may have!
The audition form can be found here: https://docs.google.com/
